Summer is here and in our first blog post of the season, we thought it would be best to admit to some of our most recent blunders.
We sparked a lot of interest when we launched our Doggie Days campaign on Facebook, but what happened next? Our server was down and www.guffoo.com was unavailable while the boys from the Development Department were upgrading our system. As a result of this process, our registration page stopped working, which was discovered by many of you – our potential Guffsters. As if this wasn’t enough, most of you who succeeded and registered nonetheless remain inactive, probably thanks to your first encounter with the basic template (new, improved templates will be up soon).
Basically, the three worst things that could have happened did. We were able to fix everything almost instantly and furthermore, now that we know the mistakes we made, we will be better equipped to prevent similar problems in the future. On a positive note, we were able to increase the number of visitors to our site by 300% and we gained more than a hundred new users.
